TGB- Permanent SlumberHe moved slowly to the site, the mound of dirt confirming his father’s words. Kehri had reported the death of Maika and Emlyn privately to him a couple of days ago (he hadn’t been in camp when his Tribe was informed, and Kehri had told the others he would want to tell his son himself). Dragging his paws in the grass, Kazik made his way over to the mound, sniffing at it for any indication of his mother’s lingering scent. He wasn’t quite sure what death was yet, but he knew that it meant the cat that died wouldn’t be coming back, and Maika certainly hadn’t come back. The young tom shut his eyes when he couldn’t scent her beneath the ground, and curled up beside the mound, once more opening his indigo-hued eyes and staring up at the sun. ”Papa said you’ve gone to the sky, Mama,” he meowed slowly, carefully placing his words so that his mother would see that he’d been learning more as he grew.
